Celebrating Nikyta
01/05/2026 4:00 - 6:00 PM
|
|
| Room: Main Fireside Say it isnât so!
After three remarkable years, weâll be saying farewell to Nikyta as the libraryâs Community Alchemist. Since joining in 2022, Nikyta has helped transform the library into an even more vibrant creative and cultural hub for the island. She spearheaded the formation of the First Saturday Art Walk, launched the innovative Artists in Residence program, and brought an extraordinary range of activities to the communityâfrom workshops and author talks to unicorn parades, Halloween hijinks, and countless moments of unexpected joy. With non-stop energy, deep care for community, and a knack for making magic out of connection, Nikyta has truly made gold with and for Lopez.
Please join us in celebrating Nikyta and her time at the library on her last day: Monday, January 5, 2026, from 4â6pm. Expect food, fun, friends, and a healthy dose of shenanigans as we gather to say thank you and wish her well on her next, magical adventure.
